President's Report
To our Members and Friends:
June was a month that reminded me exactly why NAWIC Tampa is so special. We didn’t just host events—we created experiences that brought people together, strengthened our mission, and showcased the power of women in construction.
Girls Construction Camp, one of our most impactful outreach events of the year. Seeing young girls step into hands‑on activities, learn new skills, and discover that they belong in construction was nothing short of inspiring. Their excitement was contagious, and it reminded all of us why we do this work. The volunteers who showed up—on their feet, in the heat, with smiles and patience—are the heartbeat of NAWIC Tampa. You are the reason these girls walk away believing in their potential.
Then came our Clay Shoot Fundraiser was a tremendous success. The energy on the course, the teamwork, the laughter, the friendly competition—it all reflected the heart of our chapter. Every team, every sponsor, every volunteer played a role in making the day meaningful. This fundraiser fuels our programming, our scholarships, and our ability to keep elevating women in our industry. I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.
As we move into July, a month that celebrates independence, community, and the American spirit, I’m reminded that NAWIC Tampa thrives because of volunteers. Not just people who show up—but people who care. People who give their time, their ideas, their leadership, and their passion. Volunteers are the builders of this chapter. You are the reason we continue to grow, innovate, and make an impact across Tampa Bay.
This year also brings us closer to America’s 250th anniversary, a milestone that invites us to reflect on the legacy of building—building communities, building opportunity, building the future. In many ways, NAWIC embodies that same spirit. We are builders of careers, confidence, and connection. We are shaping the next generation of women who will define the future of construction in America.
And speaking of national pride, the excitement surrounding the World Cup coming to the United States has brought a wave of joy and unity across the country. There’s something powerful about watching the world come together—different cultures, different backgrounds, all sharing one field. That same spirit lives in NAWIC Tampa. We are diverse, dynamic, and united by a shared mission. The momentum we’re seeing nationally mirrors the momentum we’re building locally.
Looking ahead, I want to connect with leaders who feel called to step forward. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, joining a committee, leading a project, or shaping the future of our chapter—this is your moment. NAWIC Tampa is growing, evolving, and reaching new heights, and we need strong voices and passionate hearts to help guide the way.
Our future is bright. Our community is strong. And together, we will continue building something extraordinary.
With gratitude and excitement, Crystal Wierzba President, NAWIC Tampa Chapter #36
