NFSF Scholarship 

The NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) offers scholarships to support students in construction-related programs. Here are some key points about the NFSF Scholarships. 

The NAWIC Founders’ Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) assists in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education and certified training programs. The construction industry encompasses almost every professional discipline, including trades, project management, administrative, legal, financial, insurance, and business owner. The NAWIC Founders Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) is here to help.

Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility: 

Requirements:
  • Completed and signed application form
  • Official Transcripts of grades for three most recent semesters.  It is preferred to have official transcript emailed from the institution.  (if mailing, must be received by deadline date) To request mailing address email [email protected].
  • Financial need (one page limit)
  • Extracurricular activities listing (one page limit)
  • Employment history listing (one page limit)
  • Essay questions (one page limit)
  • All applications, with supporting material, must be sent to the foundation at [email protected]

Construction Trades Scholarship Eligibility: 

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in a construction-related training program which is approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training, community college, technical school or equivalent. High school seniors are eligible.
  • Applicant must be obtaining training in a construction-related craft or trade.
  • To be considered, the Application and all attachments must be complete and received via email by February 28th for the next following academic year. If your school only mails transcripts, please email NFSF ([email protected]) for the address to mail the transcripts to. Official sealed transcripts must also be received no later than February 28th. THIS DEADLINE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.
  • Only students enrolled in a construction-related training program in the United States will be considered for awards.
  • Scholarship winners will be contacted by the NFSF Administrator.  


AWARDS:

 Each year we are pleased to award over $250,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs nationally. Award amounts start at $1,000. 

🎓 NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF) 

The NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing and promoting education in the construction industry. Founded in 1972 by visionary NAWIC volunteers, NEF’s mission is to “educate the construction industry today…and tomorrow.” Through innovative programs and certifications, NEF empowers individuals of all ages to explore and thrive in construction-related careers.

NEF offers a wide range of self-study certification programs recognized by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), including:

  • Construction Bookkeeping Technician (CBT)
  • Construction Industry Specialist (CIS)
  • Construction Industry Technician (CIT)
  • Certified Construction Associate (CCA)


These programs are designed to enhance professional development and provide valuable credentials for those entering or advancing in the construction field.
