Gaylene Plodzein Scholarship

The Gaylene Plodzien Memorial Scholarship

The Gaylene Plodzien Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of a beloved past president of NAWIC Tampa Chapter #36. Gaylene was a dedicated professional and passionate advocate for education. She believed deeply in the power of learning to shape a better future and was a tireless supporter of our chapter’s scholarship fund.

Gaylene’s commitment to young people extended beyond our organization—she championed causes that provided both financial and emotional support to youth in need and was a strong supporter of local children’s homes. Her generosity, sincerity, and heartfelt dedication left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. In recognition of her contributions, the Tampa chapter renamed the scholarship in her memory following her passing in 1994.
